So a brand new trailer has been released for Telltale's newest addition to its story heavy games. And that new game is Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. The trailer is great and it gives you just enough to be interested but not too much that it gives everything away. It stars all our favorite guardians as they go up against Thanos, all of which want the Galactic Macguffin.

The Series will have Scott Porter as Star-Lord, Emily O'Brien as Gamora, fan favorite Nolan North as Rocket Racoon, Brandon Paul Eells as Drax, and Adam Harrington as Groot.

The action looks awesome and the style and art of the Guardians and other characters is cool and slick.  Star-Lord looks like a Badass and Gamora looks like the comic Gamora that I know and love. Plus the song at the end is a solid powerhouse that pays tribute to the film's love of music. It is a good trailer that has me hyped

Now, while I standby that this trailer is good, and the game looks like it is going to be a lot of fun with the same fun kick that the Guardians Movie has, there is one thing that rubs me kind of weird. It's not a huge thing, and it's probably an unjustified thing, but I just don't 100 percent feel it for the Star-Lord voice. Maybe it's because I'm so used to Chris Pratt's dulcet tones piping into my head and he is charming and lovable above all else, but the Star Lord just seems not right.

There is a difficulty when you are so used to one person's voice playing a certain part and then have someone trying to do the same part, but I don't have an issue with any of the other voice actors. They sound different but none bother me quite like Star-Lord does. But I trust Telltale's casting choice. They have done great work in the past with their choices. Post what you think about the new trailer and how everything looks and sounds down below.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is a brand new story of the universe's unlikeliest heroes: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.
From Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond, and set to the beat of awesome music, you wear the rocket-powered boots of Star-Lord in an original Guardians adventure, where your decisions and actions drive the story you experience.

This BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA Board Game Is Freakin’ Rad

If you're a movie geek who happens to be into board games, you're gonna love Big Trouble in Little China: The Game! It was designed by Chris Batarlis and Boris Polonsky, who are obviously big fans of the John Carpenter movie classic. The game is still in development, but below you will find information on the game that has been released, along with box art, game art, and cool character miniatures! I've just started getting into these kinds of games and they're actually pretty fun if you have a good group of friends to play with.

It’s a thematic, cooperative, strategy, miniatures, adventure game that allows 1-4 players to experience the events they remember from the film as well as create new adventures of their own. The game plays in two acts: Act One uses the front side of the game board: Chinatown, while Act Two takes place on the back: Lo Pan’s lair. Players will choose from six characters, each with unique abilities, and will use custom dice for actions, quest tasks and combat. They will also be able to use the communal fate dice, which come with a fun risk/reward mechanic. After completing quests and upgrading their characters, players will move to the back of the board for the big showdown with Lo Pan! Will the heroes stop Lo Pan’s evil scheme in time, or is everything gonna go to hell?

Below you'll find art for Gracie Law, Lightning, Rain, and, of course, the Wild Man:

Here are the miniatures. Unfortunately, they don't show us what the characters Jack Burton or Lo Pan will look like.

Stephen King and Joe Hill’s Novella THROTTLE is Getting a Film Adaptation

This next year is a big year for Stephen King. I feel like it's the 80's again. We have an It reboot on its way, as well as a Netflix series revolving around a Stephen King novel connected universe, A Dark Tower film, and now it's just been announced that the novella Throttle, which was written by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill, is in plans to be turned into a feature film. Hill also has a good resume of books to film, one of his more recent being the film Horns starring Daniel Radcliffe.

Throttle is about a Biker gang riding across Nevada being chased by a faceless trucker after a deal goes bad. The main part of the story follows the relationship of a father and a son.

The writer of the Screenplay will be John Scott III who wrote the 2015 film Maggie, which was about Arnold Schwarzenegger taking care of his zombie daughter. Gripping stuff. I'm excited to learn more about this film as information is released. Biker films aren't done that often and I feel like King's best works are his emotional relationship films like Stand by Me and The Green Mile

Inspired by Richard Matheson's classic "Duel," "Throttle," by Joe Hill and Stephen King, is a duel of a different kind, pitting a faceless trucker against a tribe of motorcycle outlaws in the simmering Nevada desert. Their battle is fought out on twenty miles of the most lonely road in the country, a place where the only thing worse than not knowing what you're up against, is slowing down.

Post in the comments what you think of them making this movie or any other thoughts you might have on Stephen King's novels.

The Release Date for THE DARK TOWER Has Been Pushed Back… Again

Fans of Stephen King's The Dark Tower have been waiting to see a big screen adaptation for years! Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait a little bit longer. EW recently announced that the release of the film has once again been pushed back.

It was supposed to be released on July 28th, but now it will hit theaters on August 4th. I know it's not that long of a wait, I just hope they don't push it back any further. The movie exists! We are going to see it one day!

We recently got to see the first trailer for the film at CinemaCon during the Warner Bros. presentation, and I was super impressed by what I saw. You can watch our reaction video for it here in case you missed it.

There's a lot riding on this movie. It has to succeed! If it doesn't, if the movie fails at the box office, we won't get to see the two other planned films or TV series. I want to see the full vision of this adaptation play out! It would be such a shame if it didn't.

The Dark Tower series tells the story of Roland Deschain, Mid-World’s last gunslinger, who is traveling southeast across Mid-World’s post-apocalyptic landscape, searching for the powerful but elusive magical edifice known as The Dark Tower. Located in the fey region of End-World, amid a sea of singing red roses, the Dark Tower is the nexus point of the time-space continuum.  It is the heart of all worlds, but it is also under threat. Someone, or something, is using the evil technology of the Great Old Ones to destroy it.

We've already seen a few photos from the film featuring Idris Elba as The Gunslinger, Roland Deschain, Tom Taylor as Jake Chambers, and Matthew McConaughey as The Man in Black.

The film is being directed by Nikolaj Arcel. It also stars Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road) as Tirana; Fran Kranz (The Cabin in the Woods) as Pimli, the right-hand man of Randall Flagg; Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen); Katheryn Winnick (Vikings), and Claudia Kiim (Avengers: Age of Ultron).

The Dark Tower hits theaters this summer on August 4. To catch up on all of our Dark Tower news, click here.

New Original Disney GARGOYLES Character Art Released By Series Producer Frank Paur

About a month ago artist Frank Paur, who was the supervising producer of the classic 90s series Gargoyles released a piece of Gargoyles art featuring Elisa Maza. He has since been busy working on more new original character art from the series for fans to enjoy.

These latest three pieces are all in different stages of development, and the characters include Goliath, Hudson, and Broadway. It's so cool to see new art pieces like this being created by one of the original creators of the series. Makes me wish Disney would actually breathe life back into the franchise and do something with it!

Joss Whedon’s BATGIRL Movie Will Reportedly Be Based on DC’s ‘New 52’ Version of the Character

Yesterday we got the awesome news that Joss Whedon will be writing and directing a Batgirl movie for Warner Bros. Everyone knows that Whedon is great at writing for strong female characters, which makes him perfect for the job!

Thanks to EW, we have some new information to share with you regarding the film. I know a lot of fans have been wondering which version of Batgirl he would bring to life for the film and according to the report, it will revolve around DC Comics' 'New 52' version of the heroine.

This version of the character was launched in 2011 after Barbara Gordon recovered from a paralyzing spinal injury that was notoriously inflicted on her by the Joker in the 1988 graphic novel The Killing Joke. She has completely recovered from the attack's injuries thanks to an experimental surgery. However, she's still haunted by the experience that almost killed her.

EW goes on to say that the movie will follow comic writer Gail Simone’s "harder-edged storyline rather than the more comical, playful 'Batgirl of Burnside' series that was rebooted in 2014, featuring the hero as a social-media obsessed student living in a hipster neighborhood of Gotham."

I assumed this would be the hard-edged version of the character because that's the kind of DC Universe that WB set up for their films. That being said, I have no doubt that Whedon will be interjecting some of his charming humor as well to help lighten the story up.

I'm so happy that Whedon is directing Batgirl, and it seems like most of the fans are on board as well! We've still got a long way to go before we see anything from this project, but it's good to know that Batgirl is in good hands.

Watch the Cool Neon Opening Title Sequence for Neil Gaiman’s AMERICAN GODS

Starz has unveiled the opening title sequence for their series adaption of Neil Gaiman's American Gods. The footage features the famous Las Vegas neon cowboy, a crucified astronaut, assorted metal animals, cars, and more. All of these things make up a totem. It has a very trippy neon psychedelic tone.

The story consists of the following characters: Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane), Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle), Laura Moon (Emily Browning), Bilquis (Yetide Badaki), Mr. Nancy (Orlando Jones), Mad Sweeney (Pablo Schreiber), Technical Boy (Bruce Langley), Easter (Kristin Chenoweth), Czernobog (Peter Stormare), and Mr. World (Crispin Glover).

When Shadow Moon is released from prison, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday and a storm begins to brew. Little does Shadow know, this storm will change the course of his entire life. Left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife, and suddenly hired as Mr. Wednesday’s bodyguard, Shadow finds himself in the center of a world that he struggles to understand. It’s a world where magic is real, where the Old Gods fear both irrelevance and the growing power of the New Gods, like Technology and Media. Mr. Wednesday seeks to build a coalition of Old Gods to defend their existence in this new America, and reclaim some of the influence that they’ve lost. As Shadow travels across the country with Mr. Wednesday, he struggles to accept this new reality, and his place in it.

American Gods premieres on Starz on Sunday, April 30th. If you haven't watched the most recent trailer for the series yet, make sure to check it out here!

ALIEN: COVENANT – Footage Reaction Video – CinemaCon 2017

One of the most insane things we saw on out final day at CinemaCon was some new footage from Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant. I know we've already seen a bunch of footage from the film already, but this new footage that Scott shared with us answered some question regarding Michael Fassbender's David and the planet that the crew of the Covenant have come to inhabit. We talk all about it in the video above, but I will warn you now, we do get into some SPOILERS in it so watch at your own risk.

Alien: Covenant hits theater on May 19th.

Jennifer Lawrence’s RED SPARROW – Footage Reaction Video – CinemaCon 2017

During our final day at CinemaCon we got to see some of the first footage from Jennifer Lawrence's upcoming Russain assassin/spy thriller Red Sparrow. The film is based on the novel written by Jason Matthews and it seriously looks like it's going to be a great movie. We talk about the footage that we saw in the reaction video above. For more information on what the story is about, here's a description from the book:

In present-day Russia, ruled by blue-eyed, unblinking President Vladimir Putin, Russian intelligence officer Dominika Egorova struggles to survive in the post-Soviet intelligence jungle. Ordered against her will to become a “Sparrow,” a trained seductress, Dominika is assigned to operate against Nathaniel Nash, a young CIA officer who handles the Agency’s most important Russian mole.

Spies have long relied on the “honey trap,” whereby vulnerable men and women are intimately compromised. Dominika learns these techniques of “sexpionage” in Russia’s secret “Sparrow School,” hidden outside of Moscow. As the action careens between Russia, Finland, Greece, Italy, and the United States, Dominika and Nate soon collide in a duel of wills, tradecraft, and—inevitably—forbidden passion that threatens not just their lives but those of others as well. As secret allegiances are made and broken, Dominika and Nate’s game reaches a deadly crossroads. Soon one of them begins a dangerous double existence in a life-and-death operation that consumes intelligence agencies from Moscow to Washington, DC.

The movie is set to be released on November 10th.
