Someone Turned That Controversial Leia Scene In STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Into A Shooting Stars Meme, And It’s Pretty Hilarious

So...while I enjoyed the Leia scene in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, I can understand why a bunch of fans thought it was trash. Mostly because the minute I say I thought it was fine I get bombarded with every reason why it isn't. Regardless of how you feel about the moment, you'll appreciate this "shooting stars" meme that has Leia floating a lot more places than just back to the ship. Check it out below!

Watch Luffy and Goku Black Fight in Awesome Flipbook Animation

As captain of the Straw Hat crew, Monkey D. Luffy of One Piece knows how to take down all types of villains. Can he take down a Super Saiyan though? This amazingly done flipbook animation by Trafalgar Z gives us a pretty epic fight that spans multiple flipbooks and has Luffy go all out against Black Goku from Dragon Ball Super. When Black Goku pulls out Super Saiyan Rose, Luffy is able to use his Gear Fourth form to help even the playing field. The fight is pretty incredible and the animation itself is great. Not to mention the sounds are spot on. It seems like they may have spliced together sound clips from the two shows, but the way they did it is really well done. I think someone has a bright future ahead of them. Who do you think would win in the end? A pirate, or a Saiyan?

New Synopsis Released For Director Travis Knight’s BUMBLEBEE

I'm not a fan of the Transformers film franchise, but I believe that there's a good chance this Bumblebee spinoff movie will actually be good. There's a talented team of individuals that are developing this movie and the fact that it's being directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) is a huge plus.

Today we bring you a new high-resolution photo from the film and a synopsis that offers some additional details:

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.

Director Travis Knight also previously made some encouraging statements about the film. One of the main things is he's looking to scale back and put more of a focus on the story and characters. One thing that he is hoping to bring to the Transformers franchise is heart and humor:

"I wanted to approach this massive, expansive franchise and really focus in on a tiny corner of the canvas. Everything I've tried to do at Laika, searching for an artful blend of darkness and light, intensity and warmth, humour and heart, I wanted to bring to the Transformers franchise.

"At its core it's just a beautiful love story between two broken souls who find each other and heal each other. I grew up loving those classic Spielbergian Amblin films. And we're trying to evoke that kind of emotion in this movie, fusing a rich coming-of-age story with some sci-fi insanity."

The movie also stars John Cena (Ferdinand), John Ortiz (Kong: Skull Island), and Kenneth Choi (Spider-Man: Homecoming).

Bumblebee opens December 21, 2018.

Video Examines Jamie Lannister Throughout GAME OF THRONES And Decides Whether Or Not He Is A Hero Or Villain

Jaime Lannister has done a lot of noble things since his beginning in Game of Thrones, but does all that really forgive the things he's done in the past? It's a very loaded question, and if you're ready to get into some deep character philosophy today, this video from Alt Shift X will really get your wheels turning. I'm not entirely sure where I fall after listening to this video, and truth be told, I was leaning more towards hero before listening. What do you think?

This Short Video Explains The Story History Of BRIGHT, And It Makes The Movie Better

Bright released last week, and while I thought the film was ok, a lot of what held it back from being anything more for me was a lack of explanation behind the world Daryl and Nick lived in. It seemed like anytime something happened I was waiting for the full story behind what was happening, and it never came. If you haven't seen Bright yet, watch this video first that details the story behind the modern day L.A. in the film, and I legitimately think you'll enjoy the film more having done so.

It still didn't explain why that dragon wasn't trying to attack, but it did give me a little more background on this world that makes me appreciate the film a little more.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is on the Verge of Making $1 Billion at the Box Office

Regardless of the hate that Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been getting from a lot of fans, the film continues to blow up at the box office and it's on the verge of reaching the $1 billion make at the box office worldwide.

As of this moment, Rian Johnson's film has earned $934.2 million worldwide and sits at the 11th highest-grossing domestic film of all time. It will eventually bypass Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, which sits in the number ten spot. The Last Jedi is expected to bypass the billion-dollar mark over the New Years weekend.

As a fan of The Last Jedi, it great to see that the movie is seeing success. It just goes to show that The Force is still strong with the movie. But, I will admit that it would've made a lot more money had more fans embraced it. Regarldess of that, Disney is getting their money's worth!

Trailer For Gina Carano’s Post-Apocalyptic Action Film SCORCHED EARTH

The first trailer has been released for a new post-apocalyptic action film called Scorched Earth. The story is set in a future where the world has been destroyed by an environmental collapse. The film stars Gina Carano as a bounty hunter who is on a mission to take down a ruthless outlaw.

This looks like a made for TV movie that you would find on the SyFy Channel. There's a market for those kinds of films, but I don't think it looks that good. Maybe it will interest some of you, though. Here's the synopsis:

The planet has suffered an environmental collapse; the air became dangerous to breathe, the water became toxic, and billions of people died. Generations later, mankind has finally re-established a rudimentary society, in an attempt to pick up the pieces that continue to blister in the sun. Attica Gage (Gina Carano) is a bounty hunter with a chance at the bounty of a lifetime: to bring down the ruthless outlaw, Elijah Jackson. Gage infiltrates Jacksons gang, and everything is going to plan until she meets a slave girl who reminds her of her dead sister. With her loyalty to only herself now tested, Gage learns that there might be more to life than just survival.

The film also stars John HannahStephanie BennettAlisha NewtonRyan RobbinsNathan Mitchell, and Patrick Gilmore. Scorched Earth will be released on February 2nd. Does this look like a movie you might enjoy?

Two New Photos From FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD Feature Newt, Tina, and Gellert Grindelwald

A couple new images have surfaced from Warner Bros. upcoming film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The first photo comes from USA Today and it features the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) with a mysterious character named Rosier (Poppy Corby-Tuech). She must be one of his recruits.

The second photo comes from Empire and offers us a new look at Newt (Eddie Redmayne) and Tina (Katherine Waterston) together again. As you can see, they're looking a bit apprehensive.

When talking about the film, director David Yates says that Dumbledore (Jude Law) "refuses to conform to the status quo" and is "passionate, mischievous and an inspiration" to his young students. When talking about what Dumbledore sees in Newt, the director explains:

"Dumbledore sees Newt as a kindred spirit, an outsider, who is misunderstood. They recognize each other’s strengths and vulnerabilities."

The two wizards end up teaming up to track down and face off with Gellert Grindelwald "whose dangerous ideology involves suppressing all non-magical beings, whom he views as inferior to wizards." Yates goes on to say that, "He's a charismatic figure who uses his undeniable appeal to inspire others to blindly follow his cause."

I'm looking forward to this movie. I love this world that J.K. Rowling has created and the fact that we are getting new stories from it is pretty cool. Here's the synopsis:

At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be released on November 16, 2018.

Michael B. Jordan Drew Inspiration From Heath Ledger and Michael Fassbender For BLACK PANTHER Role

I cannot wait for Black Panther to hit theaters. I am more excited for it than I am Avengers: Infinity War or Solo. After watching Captain America: Civil War I decided that the movie was a long preview of the awesomeness to come in Black Panther. He was my favorite part of that movie and I’m sure he’s going to be even cooler in his own movie. While Chadwick Boseman is playing this awesome hero, Michael B. Jordan will be playing the villainous Erik Killmonger. How can you not be a villain with a name like that? Jordan talked to Empire about his experience and according to CBM, he talks about the impact Heath Ledger’s legendary performance as the Joker and Michael Fassbender’s phenomenal Magneto helped influence him. He states:

You see performances as an actor, and as a fan - you look at Heath Ledger’s performance, say, in The Dark Knight, and it’s like, “Wow”. I want to try to get something like that. You want Michael Fassbender’s Magneto. Just trying to find my place amongst those roles, and strive for that, even if I don’t make it

I am excited for Black Panther and am intrigued to see how Jordan brings Killmonger to life. He told Empire that preparing for the role took him to a “dark place” which sounds similar to experiences shared by many who have played villains including Ledger and Jack Nicholson when he portrayed the Clown Prince of Crime. How excited are you for this movie? Who are some of your favorite movie villains?

Black Panther comes to theaters February 16, 2018. I also included a couple nw photos from the film to check out below:
