A Second Trailer Has Emerged For Kevin Hart’s NIGHT SCHOOL

A new trailer is out for Kevin Hart's Night School, and I'm going to preface it with this. This is one of those comedies you already know before you watch the trailer whether or not you're going to enjoy it. This is definitely not a cerebral comedy by any means, but it does have a pretty notable cast worth heading to the theater to go see. Beyond Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish there's Rob Riggle, Keith David, Taran Killam, and a whole lot of other familiar faces you're going to recognize.

The comedy from director Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip) follows a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult classes in the longshot chance they’ll pass the GED exam.

Check out the new trailer below, and see the film in theaters September 28th.

Taika Waititi Says His WWII Film JOJO RABBIT Will “Piss Off a Lot of Racists”

Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) has started production on his new film project Jojo Rabbit and as a fan of Waititi's film work, I'm really excited about it!

Jojo Rabbit is a World War II satire movie about "a young boy (Roman Griffin) who longs to be part of the Hitler Youth and whose imaginary friend is Adolf Hitler. He discovers a Jewish girl living in his attic, and after initially trying to find ways to get rid of her, begins to see her as human."

In the press release for the film, Waititi made a statement that I've never seen in a press release before! He says his movie is going to piss off a lot of racists and that's something that he takes pride in:

"I’m stoked to begin shooting my anti-war satire. We’ve assembled an incredible cast and I couldn’t be more excited to finally ridicule Nazis and their beliefs. This film is going to piss off a lot of racists and that makes me very happy."

The movie also features an amazing cast that includes Scarlett Johansson as Jojo’s mother, a woman who is secretly working for the resistance. Waititi is playing the imaginary Hitler, and Sam Rockwell will play a Nazi captain who runs a Hitler Youth camp. Rebel Wilson will play a character named Fraulein Rahm, who is a brutish instructor in the Hitler Youth Camp the young man has just been recruited to attend. The lesson that she teaches the children is that Jews are the embodiment of mythical creatures.

This is certainly a fascinating story that is sure to make for another great film from Waititi. It sounds like Waititi has some wild stuff in store for this movie!

SMALLVILLE Star Allison Mack Reportedly Admits To Coming Up With Branding Members of Sex Cult

This whole thing regarding Smallville star Allison Mack being associated with the alleged sex cult Nxivm, has been crazy! She was apparently second in command and was arrested by the FBI in Brooklyn for her connection to the controversial group that was started by Keith Raniere. They reportedly lured in and brainwashed several young girls and there were accusations of branding them with a symbol on their skin that contained the initials: K, R, A M. Turns out those are the initials of Keith Raniere (KR) and Allison Mack (AM).

The New York Times did an extensive recount of this Nxivm sex cult and in it, journalist Vanessa Grigoriadis reveals that Mack is the one who actually came up with the decision to brand these women that they recruited!  Here's what Grigoriadis wrote.

In her apartment, I was surprised to hear [Allison] Mack take full responsibility for coming up with the DOS cauterized brand. She told me, 'I was like: 'Y'all, a tattoo? People get drunk and tattooed on their ankle 'BFF,' or a tramp stamp. I have two tattoos and they mean nothing.' She wanted to do something more meaningful, something that took guts... When the cauterized brand was introduced, it was a scary experience, like any real rite of passage, but some of them kidded around through it. Even if they cried when they were getting the brand; even if they wore surgical masks to help them with breathing in the smell of burning flesh; even if the brand was much larger than they were told it would be and looked like an ancient hieroglyph; even if they were in a state of sheer terror, they were still able to transcend the fear and cry out to one another: 'Badass warrior bitches! Let's get strong together.'

The report goes on to claim that Mack got involved with the group when she was feeling unhappy with her TV acting career at 23. She asked the cult leader to "make her a great actress again." Things obviously took a turn for the worse. Fellow Smallville actress Kristin Kreuk, who was also a part of the group, recently came out and said that she never recruited anyone into it while she was involved. But, Mack talked about trying to recruit other celebrities like Emma Watson and Kelly Clarkson. She says that she tried to invite these high-profile performers to learn more about her techniques of female empowerment.

There's been a lot of information coming out about this group and it was revealed that Mack actively hunted down, recruited, and controlled women inside Keith Raniere's inner circle, which was called DOS. That stands for Dominus Obsequious Sororium, which translates to Master Over Slave Women. It was also called "The Vow." Mack went on to say:

"I found my spine, and I just kept solidifying my spine every time I would do something hard. [DOS] about women coming together and pledging to one another a full-time commitment to become our most powerful and embodied selves by pushing on our greatest fears, by exposing our greatest vulnerabilities, by knowing that we would stand with each other no matter what, by holding our word, by overcoming pain."

Damn. I loved Mack on Smallville, it's crazy and sad to see what she ended up getting herself into. She was arrested on April 20th on charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and forced labor. She was later released on a $5 million bail.

Here’s Our First Full Look at Hiro Mashima’s EDEN’S ZERO and it will Be Released in 5 Languages

If you’re a fan of Hiro Mashima’s works, you’ll be excited to know that we’ve gotten a more extensive look at the characters of his new manga Eden’s Zero. We’ve seen sketches in the past, and even a picture of the main male protagonist, but this features a lot more characters.

You may notice a lot of similarities between these characters and some of his previous characters. For instance, the main character looks like a cross between Gray and Natsu from Fairy Tail. There’s a blue-haired girl that looks a bit like Wendy and a red-haired person whose profile looks a bit like Erza.

No details are given about the story except, this may be more sci-fi than his previous two works, Rave Master and Fairy Tail. It will seemingly feature a team of a male and a female protagonist. One character seems to have a cybernetic arm and two characters seem dressed in futuristic-looking armor.

This manga is separate from Mashima’s other projects and is looking to do something new. The creators want to simultaneously publish the manga in five other languages: Chinese, English, French, Korean, and Thai. This, of course, will go on with the publication in Weekly Shonen Magazine starting on June 26, 2018.

You can see the announcement for the manga and the character designs below. Are you excited?

Alternate Millennium Falcon Designs For SOLO Have Surfaced Featuring Some Hot Rod Styles

One of the many cool things that Solo: A Star Wars Story gave us was an early version of the Millennium Falcon, which is the most iconic ship in the Star Wars franchise. The Lucasfilm art department went through a ton of different designs before the creative team settled on what we ended up seeing in the film.

Some of the early alternate designs they came up with are completely bizarre and the artists were obviously having some fun playing with the possibilities. There are a lot of big differences in these designs, there are even some with Hot Rod-style flames on it and one with Thunderbird hood art! Those are the least crazy designs, though!

Check out several of the concept designs below and let us know what your favorites are. Personally, I liked what they ended up using in the movie as it was inspired by Ralph McQuarrie's original design. I'm not sure how a couple of these designs would have worked.
