That Live-Action MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM is Really Going to Happen!

After we saw the most popular Gundam mecha in action in Ready Player One, fans really wanted to see a live-action feature film based on the popular Mobile Suit Gundam Japanese property. Now it looks like it's really going to happen!

Legendary has recently announced a new collaboration with Sunrise that will eventually see Mobile Suit Gundam get its first ever live-action movie! There are no real details about what the film will entail right now, but the press release did offer a brief synopsis for the premise of the original  anime series and its setting in the 'Universal Century,' which is the main timeline that most of the Gundam anime, mangas, and video games have been set in:

The original Gundam series is set in the Universal Century, an era in which humanity’s growing population has led people to emigrate to space colonies. Eventually, the people living in the colonies seek their autonomy, and launch a war of independence against the people living on Earth. Through the tragedies and discord arising from this human conflict, not only the maturation of the main character, but also the intentions of enemies and the surrounding people are sensitively depicted.

It's exciting to learn that things are moving forward with this. It may be awhile before we see anything happen with it, but when it does I think that it's going to hit big with the fans! At least I hope it does!

With Legendary Pictures behind the production, it's sure to get the budget and attention that it deserves. After all, this is the same studio that brought us Godzilla, King Kong, and Pacific Rim. But, Mobile Suit Gundam better be better than all of those!

We'll keep you updated on any information as it comes available.

Funny Video Focuses on Tom Cruise’s Stunt Double and How He Has Nothing To Do

funny-video-focuses-on-tom-cruises-stunt-double-and-how-he-has-nothing-to-do-social.jpg

As you know, Tom Cruise loves to do his own stunts. This leaves his stunts doubles with a lot of free time on their hands. I've got a funny cross-promotional video here for you to watch for Mission: Impossible - Fallout and Uber that focuses on one of Cruise's stunt doubles and how he has so much down time and he is so bored, that he starts driving for Uber to make some money on the side while Tom Cruise does his thing.

It's a pretty entertaining promo and at one point Cruise's stunt double gets excited when Cruise breaks his ankle because he thinks it means he'll actually get to work a little bit. But, the studio opted to just shut the production down instead. This is a clever and fun video that I think you'll get a kick out of so check it out!

You Can Get Season 1 of DRAGON BALL SUPER For Free from Microsoft Right Now

I’ve heard really good things about Dragon Ball Super, but haven’t been able to watch it yet. Thankfully, Microsoft of all people has my back right now. You can head over to their website right now and buy the entire first season for free.

You can get the Funimation dub in SD or HD (who’s going to pick SD though?) which normally goes for about $18-27. If you prefer subtitles, unfortunately, this deal is only for the dub, so you’re out of luck. For the rest of us though, this is a fantastic deal and the other three seasons are only about $13 each. You can own the first four seasons of DBS for only $39! You’ll want to act fast as it is currently stating the deal will end in about 5 days.

Once purchased with your Microsoft account, you should be able to use it with your Xbox One, HoloLens, PC, or mobile device. If you’ll excuse me, I have some binging to do.

SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Will Be Bigger and Funnier Than The First Film

I love what Marvel Studios has done with Spider-Man since he was first introduced to the MCU in Captain America: Civil War. He's had an interesting story arc and the first solo film under Marvel's direction was so freakin' good! That's going to be a hard movie to top, but director Jon Watts is obviously up for the task.

While talking to THRAnt-Man and the Wasp editor Dan Lebental was asked about Spider-Man: Far From Home because that's his next film project. He didn't say much in regards to the story, but he did say:

"I can’t say much about the new Spider-Man but I will offer up that it will be both grander in scale and even funnier than the last one. The rest of the story will have to wait."

What we do know is that Peter Parker will be on summer vacation with his friends in Europe and that at some point he will be facing off with Mysterio.

There's a rumor that they might be changing up Mysterio's origin a bit. He will reportedly live in London as "a failed magician and actor rather than a stuntman and VFX expert." Michael Keaton also may make an appearance as Vulture again. You can read up on some additional rumored information regarding the film here.

Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 5, 2019. I'm excited to see what Spider-Man's next adventure will entail!

It looks like Idris Elba is going to play the main villain in the upcoming Fast and Furious spinoff film Hobbs and Shaw. According to Variety, the actor is currently in negotiations. It would be great to see Elba play a villain in this film! There's no doubt he'd be awesome so I hope everything works out.

There's no information on his character but Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will be teaming up to take him on and stop him from whatever evil plan he has concocted.

Deadpool 2 director David Leitch is on board to helm the film from a script written by franchise writer Chris Morgan. Idris will also join the recently cast Vanessa Kirby, who will be taking on the role of Shaw's sister. She happens to be an MI-6 agent that will help the duo in their latest adventure.

The production is set to commence this fall and will hit theaters on July 26th, 2019. What do you think about Elba taking on the role of the villain in this movie?

This Fan-Made Video Of RESIDENT EVIL 2’s Cast Dancing To Gangnam Style Will Brighten Up Your Day

Screen Shot 2018-07-05 at 8.13.46 AM.jpg

As fans wait patiently (or not so patiently) for the release of Resident Evil 2 Remake next year, some use this time to relive the horror by re-playing the classic Resident Evil games, others just try to forget about it for now to ease their suffering, and of course a select few wait in their own hilarious way by watching fan-made videos of Resident Evil characters in weird non-traditional settings.

Given the massive hype after the remake was announced at E3 last month, an old video resurrected from the grave, showing the cast of Resident Evil 2 dancing away to Gangnam Style. I personally found the video after it was posted yesterday in a Resident Evil fan page on Facebook, and let’s just say that I’m still replaying it until now.

The video was made by YouTuber Atlier and was posted on May 17 last year, as fans then were starting to ask Capcom for updates on the progress of Resident Evil 2 Remake. If you’re having a bad day, the video will surely turn your frown upside down! I mean the synchronized steps, the poker face of the characters, and the inclusion of a few zombies dancing to the tune is absolutely hilarious. I just wished they added Mr. X in this! Two thumbs up to the maker of the video!

New Details on DOOM PATROL Character Crazy Jane Reveals She’ll Be a Harley Quinn-esque Character

As you know, DC Entertainment is developing a Titans spinoff series that will focus on the super-powered team Doom Patrol for the DC Universe streaming service. Several Doom Patrol characters will make their debut in Titans, but there are a few that won't show up until the spinoff series launches. One of those characters is Kay Challis a.k.a Crazy Jane and thanks to That Hashtag Show, we have some details on what we can expect to see from the character.

It's said that this version of Crazy Jane will be in her early 20s and "is aimed to have several personalities and being a bit of a Harley Quinn-esque character."

Crazy Jane was created by Grant Morrison and Richard Case, and she made her first appearance in February 1989 in #19 of Doom Patrol Volume 2. She's been a pretty popular character and one of the things that makes her interesting is that she suffers from multiple personality disorder, which was caused by the Dominator gene bomb which she was exposed to in the Invasion! story arc. She has 64 personalities and each one of them has their own individual superpower.

It will be interesting to see who ends up taking on the role in the series. She's such a fascinating character that has the potential to be a fan favorite.

DOOM PATROL is a re-imagining of one of DC’s most beloved group of outcast Super Heroes: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane, led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief). The Doom Patrol’s members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities—but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence—and to protect Earth from what they find. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of super-powered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Picking up after the events of TITANS, DOOM PATROL will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with a warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same.

Are you excited about this Doom Patrol series? Who do you want to see play Crazy Jane in it?

HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD To Premiere In Germany For First Non-English Language Production

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been running wild on Broadway for quite a while now, and now it's finally going to make its debut in a language other than English. Beginning in 2020, Variety reports the production will make its premiere in Germany with the dialogue being adapted to, you guessed it, German.

The continued success of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is not surprising as the production cleaned up at the Tonys with six awards including Best Play. I still haven't seen it yet, but I say that like I've attended a musical that wasn't a school production a sibling was in ever in my life. Those who have seen the play, is it worth the hype?

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
