Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) is about to turn into that lovably corrupt attorney, Saul Goodman, who was introduced to us in Breaking Bad. So far, over the course of three seasons of Better Call Saul, it's been a crazy anxiety fueled road watching him make this transformation. Now, that full transformation is going to happen.
The new trailer opens up with an unemployed Jimmy, mourning his brother Chuck’s death at his funeral. As Jimmy tries to get back up on his feet and make some cash, he ends up teaming up with Mike (Jonathan Banks) on a job and it looks like he's going to find himself way in over his head. Here's the synopsis for Season 4:
In Better Call Saul‘s fourth season, Chuck’s death catalyzes Jimmy McGill’s transformation into Saul Goodman. In the wake of his loss, Jimmy takes steps into the criminal world that will put his future as a lawyer — and his relationship with Kim — in jeopardy. Chuck’s death deeply affects former colleagues Howard (Patrick Fabian) and Kim as well, putting the two of them once again on opposite sides of a battle sparked by the Brothers McGill.
Meanwhile Mike takes a more active role as Madrigal Electromotive’s newest (and most thorough) security consultant. It’s a volatile time to be in Gus Fring’s employ, as Hector’s collapse sends shock waves throughout the Albuquerque underworld and throws the cartel into chaos — tearing apart both Gus and Nacho’s well-laid plans. While Gus changes course, Nacho finds himself in the crosshairs of deadly forces.
Better Call Saul returns to AMC on August 6, 2018. There will also be a Better Call Saul panel at Comic-Con later this month for fans to attend!
