Genndy Tartakovsky Wants to Make a CG Animated SAMURAI JACK Movie

It sounds like Genndy Tartakovsky maybe isn't ready to give up on Samurai Jack. During a recent interview with CB, he says that he likes the idea of making a CG animated Samurai Jack movie. I love this franchise and it would be so cool to see Tartakovsky get to make a film. Traditional animation or CG, I don't care, he's just such a great character, and I bet that Tartakovsky could give us another great cinematic story. During the interview he said:

"Yeah. That's something I had talked about, doing a feature that's just as artistic as the TV show, but in the CG medium. And, then I started to get ideas of how to do that, how to take advantage of it... And so, it could easily be done, but I feel like, now that I've finished Jack, I probably will try to do something original."

Now, I know he says that he's finished with Jack, but you have to remember after Hotel Transylvania 2 was released he said he was done with that, and then he went ahead a made a third one after having a change of heart. He got a chance to revive Samurai Jack in 2017 with another season and I thought it turned out pretty great.

The filmmaker is currently working on a new film project, though. He just won't say what it is right now. When asked about it, he said:

"I can't share. But I'm working on something."

Tartakovsky has been looking for something new, different, and original to dive into and it will be interesting to see what it turns out to be. I've enjoyed all of his work so whatever he's doing I'm sure will turn out great. Maybe after he's done with that, he'll want to work on a Samurai Jack film.

It's crazy to think that after all these years, Mondo has never released a Ghostbusters print, but it's true! These guys have released print for every freakin' classic movie you can think of, but Ghostbusters is nowhere to be found in their archives. Willem Dafoe To Star in Disney Dog Sled Movie TOGO

Willem Dafoe is set to star in Disney’s upcoming live-action dog sled movie called Togo. It will tell the center on two of the key figures in the 1925 Nome Serum Run... sled dog Togo and sled driver Leonhard Seppala. Defoe will take on the role of Seppala, which is going to be a great role for him!

Nome, Alaska became famous in 1925 as the destination of the serum run, also known as the Great Race of Mercy, in which dog sleds played a major role in transporting diphtheria serum through harsh conditions over nearly 700 miles to save the city from an epidemic. Gunnar Kaasen and his lead sled dog Balto became known for running the final leg of the run while the 12-year-old lead dog Togo and Seppala ran the penultimate and longest leg in temperatures that were 30 degrees below zero in gale force winds.

The story is said to focus on the unlikely friendship between man and dog. "Togo was an unruly and undersized puppy but showed great leadership qualities and became the lead dog at age five. He passed away in 1929."

This has the makings of the kind of classic feel-good Disney movie that we used to see the studio produce when many of us were growing up. As a fan of Dafoe, I'm looking forward to this.

The movie is being directed by Ericson Core, whose credits include Invincible and the remake of Point Break.

Mysterious Phase 4 Marvel Movie Has Already Had Its Release Date Moved Up

Marvel is really keeping a tight lid on what we can expect from Phase 4 of the MCU. We know that there will be Spider-Man: Far From Home and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but I don’t think anything else has been confirmed. Of course, most of us are expecting the lid to be blown off after Avengers 4 is released.

Even though we don’t know what movies are on their way, we do have a schedule for the movies. According to THR’s Borys Kit, one of those untitled movies has had a change in release dates. The untitled movie has had its release date change from July 30, 2021, all the way to February 12, 2021. That’s 5 months earlier! The other two movies to be released in 2021 are expected to be released May 7 and November 5.

What do you think the mystery movie could be?

Someone Put Audio from BILLY ON THE STREET in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR and Chris Evans Approves

Many Marvel stars are happy to embrace the light side of social media as crazy things are done to their characters or movies and shared with them. The latest example starts with this brief clip from Captain America: Civil War. Cap is running through the airport, gathering his team together as they’re about to confront Team Iron Man. A Twitter user overdubbed some hilarious audio from Billy on the Street that involves him saying, “Let's go, lesbians, let's go! Here we go lesbians, here we go lesbians, come on.”

Billy Eichner from Billy on the Street saw this and tagged Chris Evans. Evans’ response is priceless!

I got a good chuckle out of the scene, but Evans’ response was pure gold in my opinion. If you’re wondering why Eichner was screaming about lesbians, he shared the clip the audio was taken from on Twitter to provide context for fans.

What’s your favorite moment like this? What’s your favorite moment from Billy on the Street and Civil War?

Sacha Baron Cohen Makes an Instructional Gun Video For Toddlers in This 10-Minute Clip From WHO IS AMERICA?

Controversial comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has a new series coming to Showtime called Who is America?. The series is set to premiere tonight and ahead of its premiere, he released a 10-minute clip in which we see him heavily transform himself as he dupes a couple of gun rights activists. One of the main things they discuss is putting guns into the hands of children to protect themselves during mass shootings.

Cohen sits down with pro-gun rights activist Philip Van Cleave in an interview where he asks, "They tried to stop 4-year-old children from having access to guns? What is the logic?" He then brings Cleave's onboard to help make a ridiculous instructional gun video for toddlers that was obviously designed to make Cleave look like an idiot.

WHO IS AMERICA? is a half-hour series from comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, in his return to series television for the first time in more than a decade in the genre he created first in Da Ali G Show. In the works over the past year, WHO IS AMERICA? explores the diverse individuals who populate our unique nation, and features Baron Cohen experimenting in the playground of 2018 America.

This has is already become a controversial series. I'm sure some people will have a good laugh at it, while others are absolutely going to loathe it because of its mean-spirited nature. Like Cohen's previous shows, this one is definitely designed to ruffle some feathers.

The seven-episode series premieres tonight on Sunday, July 15th at 10pm.

New Trailer for THE GRINCH Shows Him Planning His Christmas Caper

When I heard they were doing another movie about How the Grinch Stole Christmas, I rolled my eyes hard. I don’t understand why we have to keep trying and failing at making a movie about this story. The old TV special is perfect. However, this latest trailer made me start to think that this movie has some potential. Benedict Cumberbatch is voicing the Grinch and he does a really good job of giving the character some life.

I almost feel like this is what the live-action movie wanted to be, but hopefully, this does a better job. The highlight from this trailer is seeing the Grinch planning to steal Christmas, complete with red string. I don’t think this will be one of the best movies of the year, but it might be fun to show the kids.

The Grinch will be in theaters on November 9, 2018.

BLOCKERS Star Geraldine Viswanathan Joins Cast of BAD EDUCATION

Last we heard about that Allison Janney was in talks to join Hugh Jackman in the film Bad Education. Now there’s another name to add to the list: Geraldine Viswanathan. The Blockers star is reported to join the other two big actors, but no other details have been given.

Cory Finley is directing the high school comedy/drama film written by Mike Makowsky. The script is reportedly based off Makowsky’s experience in high school, but no further details have been revealed other than Janney would play a “the school district business manager who is in on the scheme and enjoying the same living large lifestyle while helping him (and her) to cover their tracks.”

. Hopefully, we don't have to wait too long to learn more. Are you excited for this film? What role do you think Viswanathan will have?

First Teaser Trailer Released For DOCTOR WHO Season 11!

The first teaser trailer has been unleashed for Doctor Who Season 11, which features Jodie Whittaker in action as the Thirteenth Doctor! There was a lot of controversy regarding her initial casting because she's the first woman ever to play The Doctor, but it seems like over time some people have warmed up to the idea. I could care less who plays The Doctor as long as the stories they tell are good!

In addition to Whittaker taking playing the new Doctor, the upcoming season also will also feature a new showrunner leading the charge. That showrunner is former Torchwood writer and the creator of Broadchurch, Chris Chibnall.

Watch the teaser trailer below and let us know if you're excited about Doctor Who Season 11! Also, with Comic-Con coming next week, you can expect some more information about the series to be revealed, so stay tuned for that.
